MS Dhoni's No 7 Jersey Retired

BCCI officially retires MS Dhoni's No 7 Jersey.

Indian cricketer and former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni‘s  (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) number 7 jersey has been officially retired by BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) as a tribute to the world cup winning captain and  honour his contribution to Indian Cricket. BCCI has informed not to pick iconic  No 7 jersey to its player. But this is not the first time, BCCI has retired a jersey, the first jersey to retired was of Sachin Tendulkar.

Dhoni is the second cricketer person after the cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar’s jersey has been retired by BCCI. Sachin Tendulkar had jersey number 10  which got retired by BCCI in 2017.

MS Dhoni is regarded as the one of the world’s greatest wicket-skipper-batsmen in the world of cricket sports. Dhoni played for  India cricket team from 2004 to 2019 and is the only skipper who led India to clinch 3 ICC trophies including ODI and T20 world cups. During a career which he spanned over 15 years has left a long-lasting marked in the world of cricket.
