Nepali Singer, Music-composer Bhakta Raj Acharya passes away
Nepal- Veteran Nepali singer and music-composer Bhakta Raj Acharya who was also known as “Bhajan Shiromani” passes away at the age of 82. As per report he has died while taken to Medicity hospital. His oxygen level suddenly started to dropped sharply while resting in home so his son Swaroop Raj Acharya was taken him to hospital. After he was taken to hospital he was declared dead by the doctor. Bhakta Raj Acharya was born on 30 June 1942 in Dhankuta, Nepal. Bhajan Shiromani passes away on 26 February 2024 at the age of 82. He was called Bhajan Shiromani because of his melodious devotional songs.
Bhakta Raj has given his voice in more than 400 songs, among them “Hajar sapana haruko maya lagera aaucha”, “Jati chot dinchau deu mayalu”,”Jaha chhan buddha ka aankha”, “Mutu jali rahecha” are the popular numbers. He was awarded with “Swami Narayanacharya Shruti Samman” in 2010, “Padma Shree Sadhana Samman” in 2020. Though he has left us making silent voice but his music and melody songs left behind us was always and will always continue to echo through the ages.
