Fugitive GB Rai in process to bring back from Malaysia

Kathmandu- Fugitive and Interpol search list GB Rai (Gitendra Babu Rai) who is believed to be hiding in Malaysia, Nepal government has sent a diplomatic letter to Malaysian government to bring back GB Rai. As of Kantipur news Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officers had said that after issuing diffusion in INTERPOL it has been confirmed that Gitendra Babu has been hiding in Malaysia. GB Rai was the chairman of Gorkha Media Group and the operator of Galaxy 4K Television. He is in hiding after Nepal police has issued an arrest warrant against him in the cooperative fraud case. As the member in INTERPOL (The International Criminal Police Organization) Nepal Police had issued a diffusion notice against GB Rai on 26 Jan.

Fugitive GB Rai as the founder of Suryadarshan Co-operative Pokhara has been accused as embezzling more than 1 billion Nepali rupee from Suryadarshan and other co-operatives. Along with Suryadarshan 30 crore, Supreme Co-operative 10 crore 74 lakh, Sahara Chitwan Co-operative 11 crore 71 lakh, Samana co-operative, Sano Paila co-operative, Swarnalakshmi co-operative.
