Kathmandu- Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane sentenced to 8 years in prison and fined 5 lakh. Kathmandu District Court Judge Shishirraj Dhakal declared him a rapist on 13th Dec and decided the sentence on 10 Jan.
After listening both parties statements, analyzing the cctv footage, inquiring the people and looking through the evidence obtained court has confirmed that the both went to the Nagarkot hotel in the same vehicle on 5th of Aug last year and the both stayed in the same hotel room. Court has finalised the vitim (given name Gaushala 26) age was 18 at a time.
Sandeep Lamichhane will not be arrested for around 100 days as there will be an appeal time in High Court for up to 100 days even though Kathmandu District Court declared the final decision.
