Nepal 14 Kg Gold Smuggler Arrested

Kathmandu- The proprietor and the chairperson of Platinum College in Dillibajar, Kathmandu Jiwan Kumar Gurung has been arrested in the ongoing investigation of the 14 kg Gold smuggled from Dubai. Gurung was arrested by Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) police by Samakhushi, Kathmandu. According to Police they are preparing to hand him over to the Tribhuvan International Airport Custom duty office. Jiwan Kumar Gurung is originally from Parbat and was in hiding after the arrest warrant was issued for him.

On December 7  man named Chandra Ghale who was coming from Dubai to Kathmandu was arrested by TIA Custom duty office with 14 kg gold in his custom made ascot-like half-jacket. He had total of 7 gold biscuits each weigh 2 kilograms. Later the the investigation committee of TIA conducted that Chandra Ghale and his group have smuggled total number of 138 kg of gold through the airport using the same method. Chandra Ghale is from Gorkha, Nepal. While in investigation gave an statement that he is just the porter of Min Bahadur Ghale and after some time Min Bahadur was too arrested from Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.
