Rohit Sharma replaced by Hardik Pandya

Rohit Sharma is dropped out as a captain from Mumbai Indians team, which is the one of the franchise team of  Indian Premier League cricket. Rohit Sharma is replaced by Hardik Pandya who was captaining  another franchise team in the League.  Hardik was in Gujurat Titans who also captain in IPL 2022 -2023 and was recently drafted to Mumbai Indians.

Rohit who had played 158 matches as a captain in IPL, has won 87 out of it with a 55.06% of win rate. Replacing Rohit with Pandya was a shock to its franchise fans and even to Rohit Sharma himself which he expressed in his Instagram post:

“I was sacked without a phone call and was socked after knowing that I am no longer Mumbai Indians captain, I got to know by Instagram post. It was painful because I have won 5 IPL trophies and to be honest it’s a disrespect to me”.

Mumbai Indians was founded in 2008 and Hardik is going to be the fifth person to captain the team following Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Ricky Ponting and Rohit Sharma.
